Shooting Star Strutters Academy of Baton Twirling and Dance was formed in the summer of 2001. Since that time many girls have received instruction in baton twirling and dance at both the competitive and recreational levels. Shooting Star Strutters seeks to encourage girls to explore baton twirling and dance as a way to build their levels of physical fitness and self esteem. Classes are available for all levels of twirlers from those just beginning to the those who wish to be competitive at the advanced level.
		***Private lessons are directed by Mrs. Becky Belew. Mrs. Becky is a registered coach with the National Baton Twirling Association, the United States Twirling Association, and Drum Majorettes of America. ***Classes are taught by Miss Maggie Belew. Miss Maggie holds many current twirling titles such as the 2004 DMA National Novice Princess title, the 2005 DMA Tennessee State Princess, the NBTA Advanced Preteen State Twirling title, and the NBTA Advanced Miss Majorette of Tennesee.
